Havas-owned KLP has been briefed to manage events and develop presentations, roadshows and promotions for the TTA. The government agency previously used the public relations firm Hill & Knowlton, but reviewed the account after a statutory seven-year period. However, Hill & Knowlton will continue to manage some events in the short term.
Geof Webb, communications and marketing director at the TTA, said: "Our face-to-face activities have played a major part in raising the awareness of teaching as a career and helping to attract the highest number of recruits to teacher training for seven years, and I am grateful to Hill & Knowlton for its huge contribution."
The Teacher Training Agency launched a new advertising campaign in May to help recruit 32,000 people to start training courses this year. That campaign was created by McCann-Erickson Manchester.
