KitKat has developed a blank, audio-only spot free from 'celebrities selling Christmas turkeys' to encourage people to take a break amid the barrage of festive ads.

Featuring "absolutely nothing" the ad, which debuts on TV this weekend, shows 30' of a completely white set with just a voiceover.

The voiceover promises the spot will feature no celebrities selling turkeys, no make-believe families around the Christmas table and no people dancing in supermarkets with silly Christmas hats.

It does manage to squeeze in one little brand push though - 'have a break, have a KitKat', it encourages.
