The Faceless podcast is becoming increasingly popular not just at home in the UK, but in the US as well as word spreads about the download, which can be picked up through an audio-blog section on iTunes.
The idea for the podcast came from the Kiss DJ Bam Bam, who broadcasts short extracts of the Faceless podcast on London's Kiss FM.
The diary is then available for download in full on the show's , although there are few details available about who the young woman is, whose intimate thoughts are revealed in the podcast.
Bam Bam refuses to reveal the identity of the mystery girl, except to say that she is a university student living in the capital.
Each week she calls a voicemail server and leaves a message, which Bam Bam then transcribes and puts through a voice synthesiser. The weekly updates reveal personal information about the young woman's sex life, her dieting obsessions and her family problems.
Previous highlights have included a threesome, an encounter with some strippers and a trip to the STD clinic.
"It was one of those ideas that just came to me when I was lying in bed," Bam Bam said. "It's addictive for people because it tells them something about the workings of young girl's mind."
"Sometimes I'll be transcribing the message and thinking how crazy this girl is, but then I'll play the tape on the show and the girls who work with me in the studio say that it's actually nothing that unusual".
The podcast is similar in nature to successful online diaries and blogs such as , the supposed diary of a high-class London hooker.
