KFC's documentary-style ad campaign focuses on freshness

LONDON - KFC has launched a new ad campaign shot in a documentary style which focuses on how the chicken is prepared in store.

KFC's documentary-style ad campaign focuses on freshness

The campaign, launching this week, features a television ad shot in an actual KFC kitchen and demonstrates how products such as the KFC Original Recipe chicken are prepared in store - which are hand-breaded by cooks in each store, every day. The 30-second ad features a chef discussing the importance of fresh ingredients, and highlighting the batches of fresh chicken that arrive every morning.

A series of print advertisements will highlight KFC's commitment to freshly prepared, farm assured, grade A chicken from the same leading UK suppliers used by Britain's major supermarkets.

Created Bartle Bogle Hegarty, the ad is shot in a naturalistic, documentary style.

Jennelle Tilling, vice-president of marketing, KFC UK and Ireland, said,  ‘We know freshness and quality are increasingly important to the British consumer, so it's great to do a campaign that lets them in on our secret to great tasting chicken - quality ingredients, freshly prepared.'
