Wright joins the agency as deputy media director after 12 years at Interpublic's Initiative, with responsibility for all media planning.

Dewhirst, now head of broadcast at WFCA, was most recently a consultant with Nestlé, following time at PHD as TV group manager and Sky Media as media partner controller.

These appointments are the first under media director Mark Gallagher, who joined from OMD in September. His target is to double WFCA's media business within 18 months.

WFCA launched its media arm in 2004 and it was run for five years by ex-MediaCom founder Bill Jones, who left in July to set up a rival business.
