She was recognised for her contribution to the advertising industry and her dedication to inspiring young leaders through the charity, One Young World.

A ceremony took place at the weekend, when Robertson was joined by Paul Polman, chief executive of Unilever, who also received an honorary doctorate.

Robertson has been with Havas since 2003 when she joined Euro RSCG, as the business was then known, as vice-president, Europe. She has served as UK group chairman of Havas Worldwide since 2006 and was promoted in 2013 to co-global president of Havas Worldwide.

Robertson co-founded One Young World, alongside former Havas chief executive, David Jones, in 2009.

The charity unites young leaders from around the world and stages an annual summit, which attracts leaders including Kofi Annan, Sir Bob Geldof and President Bill Clinton to participate.

Robertson said: "I am humbled to receive this award from such an esteemed business school as Lausanne, which has recognised the work of One Young World in inspiring brilliant young leaders across the world.

"It is an honour to be named a recipient of the honorary doctorate alongside Paul Polman, who has worked tirelessly to put sustainability at the top of the global business agenda."
