Kate Moss to continue as global face of Rimmel

NEW YORK - Cosmetics giant Coty has said that supermodel Kate Moss is to continue as the face of the Rimmel London, but it will launch a range of youth products that Moss will not feature in.

Coty Beauty said it will unveil a range of brand extension in spring 2007. Specifically developed for a "Generation Y" audience, which will feature new younger models for which Rimmel has been holding casting calls in the capital.

In a statement, Coty said: "Selected in 2001 for her London background and her unique personal style and beauty, Moss has been a strong driver of the Rimmel London line.

"Kate Moss delivers a distinctive type of beauty that is both inspirational and attainable to Rimmel. She is a terrific model for the mainstream cosmetic line and she will continue to represent the brand.

"While Rimmel London continues to experience success with Moss, Coty Beauty will unveil a brand extension this spring. Specifically developed for a "Generation Y" audience, Rimmel Underground exudes youthful fun and sexiness. Rimmel Underground will tap into the youth market arena featuring a variety of young models via print advertising and extensive online efforts."
