The spot, called "the future of 4, on demand", debuts on TV tonight (10 April). It was created by 4Creative, Channel 4’s in-house creative team.
The ad opens on a mutant spokeswoman who claims the promo has been sent back in time to tell viewers about the future of Channel 4.
The spot then cuts to an alien Alan Carr hosting a chat show, then the news as read by Jon Snow’s floating head, which uses a series of colourful ties to propel itself, and footage of a gay royal wedding, as examples of the broadcaster's content in 2120.
The campaign promotes Channel 4’s new digital service, All 4, which includes catch up TV and live broadcasts and replaces the 4oD brand identity across all platforms.
The new ad was created by Chris Bovill and John Allison, and directed by Neil Gorringe through 4Creative.
