Johnnie Walker "Ode to Lesvos" by Johnnie Walker Storyline

Johnnie Walker has created a short documentary about the people of Lesvos in Greece who have been nominated for a Nobel Prize in recognition of the aid and support they give to refugees.

The four and a half minute film includes interviews with some of the islanders who have helped during the crisis. Although poor themselves, they do what they can by supplying food, washing clothes and caring about the refugees' lives and fates.

The film highlights the work of the Mercy Corps, the charity that has been working with the Lesvos community. Donations can be made to the group at

Johnny Walker Storyline collaborates with writers, directors, filmmakers and photographers to produce work that "gives real people a voice to tell their stories of progress".
