
The first match will be England's group match with Uruguay, which kicks off at 8pm this Thursday (19 June). The , created in May by agency PrettyGreen as part of the retailer's 150th anniversary celebrations, will be transformed into a football-lover’s paradise, with five television screens including a Sony 85-inch 4K Ultra HD big screen as the centrepiece and complimentary pizza, beer and wine for viewers to enjoy as the matches play on.
For select matches throughout June and July, it will become a space for fans to come together to celebrate their teams’ successes, commiserate their losses and soak up the Brazilian atmosphere with other football enthusiasts.
Screenings will take place on 19 and 24 June, as well as 4, 5 and 13 July, with the last screening available only to My John Lewis customers, who will receive an exclusive invitation to enter for a chance to win tickets. The focus for this will be a celebration with Brazilian entertainment, a football freestyler and themed food and drink throughout the evening.
