LONDON (Brand Republic) - The John Lewis Partnership is splashing out on a £13m facelift for its flagship Oxford Street department store
It is part of a two-year £300m investment programme announced nine months ago to modernise the 25-strong string of shops.
The partnership expects to have completed the refurbished London store by autumn, the first major makeover for the branch in 40 years, and says it has learned from the opening of four new stores. According to managing director Peter Still, the shop will become a 鈥渞etail theatre鈥.
