JCDecaux revenues underline slowdown in growth of outdoor

JC Decaux's flat third-quarter revenue performance provided further

evidence of a slowdown in the outdoor sector's recent rapid growth.

On a like-for-like basis, excluding acquisitions, revenues were up 1.9

per cent for the three months to 30 September and up 3.8 per cent for

the first nine months of the year.

However, there was a major difference in the results of individual

profit centres.

Street furniture revenues were up 10.9 per cent, while billboard

turnover was down 6.8 per cent and transport declined by 5.8 per cent.

Chairman Jean-Francois Decaux warned of "a slight decline" in annual

profits.

Meanwhile, Decaux has won a 20-year street furniture contract in Chicago

worth $770m (£526m).
