JCDecaux installs raft of poster sites in key urban areas

JC Decaux is set to offer a raft of regional advertising

opportunities as it installs a range of sites in key city areas.

The first wave of work will take place in Southampton and

Wolverhampton - two cities in which JC Decaux won street furniture

contracts late last year.

The local authorities in both cities have finally agreed to the plans

that have been laid out by JC Decaux.

In Southampton, the company will install 30 scrolling units across the

city. This represents 90 advertising opportunities, as each unit carries

three executions. The units will be built over the next six months, with

the programme commencing in the city centre and moving to the

suburbs.

In Wolverhampton, JC Decaux will install 40 six-sheet panels in the city

centre, as well as two cylindrical advertising columns.

Wolverhampton council chose the street furniture design that best

complemented the character of the historical city centre.

One hundred panels will also be installed in London, bolstering JC

Decaux's presence in the capital and bringing its total London portfolio

to nearly 3,500 panels.

JC Decaux has recently installed 20 scrolling units in Lambeth,

providing 60 new ad opportunities in the borough.

It has also increased the number of units in Bexley by 50 per cent and

built a further 20 panels in Havering.
