Jazz fm is offering an internet radio sponsorship package to
advertisers on jazzfm.com.
Adlink, Jazz fm's online sales house, will offer a new package to
advertisers that will incorporate sponsorship of 20-second audio
trailers every time a user connects to the Jazz fm internet radio site,
plus banner advertising and branding on the homepage button.
Clear Channel Radio sales, which sells radio airtime on behalf of Jazz
fm, will also pitch internet radio sponsorship to clients as part of its
premium airtime packages.
Jazz fm is now the most popular radio station on the internet, according
to figures taken from Measurecast, an independent online research
company.
The radio station pulls in over 10,000 listeners a day for at least
three hours a day, while 72 per cent of those listeners are between the
ages of 18 and 44. The ranking means the station is more popular than
the nearest other UK station, Virgin, which ranks third.
Sandra Strunz, internet manager for Jazz fm, said: "We've known for a
long time that our live feed is popular and our mix of smooth jazz and
contemporary soul has, yet again, proved to be highly successful."
Measurecast is the first company to provide internet broadcasters,
advertisers and media buyers with daily updated reports on streaming
audience size and various demographic data.
Mike Daly, head of sponsorship at Jazz fm, said: "It would work best as
part of an integrated package, with traditional airtime and internet
space offered as part of the same deal."
