Chambers will oversee Jam’s 35-strong creative department, helping to further develop Jam’s creative output across all clients.

He will work closely with Jam’s senior management team, which includes the managing director, Richard Costa-D’sa; the head of planning, Iain Matthews, as well as Matt Hardisty, who joined the agency as a partner earlier this year.

Chambers left Razorfish in March to produce an interactive documentary about the unemployed.

Prior to Razorfish, Chambers was a creative director at Blast Radius Europe, and a strategy director at Tribal DDB Europe. He has also spent time at Poke and Euro RSCG, and has co-founded two digital agencies, the Amsterdam-based shop Kong and Double Denim in Stockholm.

Jam’s creative department has already enjoyed an award-winning year. It won the BIMA awards Grand Prix for its Xbox "play like a legend" campaign, as well as the DADI Grand Prix for Tesco Mobile.

Costa-D’sa said: "I’m excited to see the potential that Sean will bring to build on that success and take us to even greater heights."

Deakin left Jam in April after three years to pursue other interests.
