Her promotion comes as the sales team looks to launch an ad package for the portal and Tesco.com called 'click to buy'.
IVillage UK is a joint venture between iVillage in the US and Tesco.
IVillage UK handles the sales operation for Tesco.com as well as its own portal.
The 'click to buy' package will allow advertisers to run a branding campaign on iVillage UK and link customers through to add products to their Tesco.com basket through a banner ad.
The service has been trialled by Kellogg as part of the cereal brand's recent sponsorship of iVillage's 'Shape Up Challenge' diet campaign.
Clarke takes on responsibility for all business development and sales activities, including the sales operation of Tesco.
com. She will work closely with iVillage UK chief executive Phil Rooke, who previously handled these activities.
She said: "We have created revenue streams aside from online ads, such as SMS, and we have others in the pipeline, including subscriptions."
IVillage UK will also consider acquisitions. "The goal is to become profitable as quickly as possible, and we will look at developing deeper partnerships in areas such as dating and dieting, said Clarke.
