The deal will see the Geordie duo on ITV screens until 2007 and prevent them entering into deals with rival broadcasters, including the BBC, which was reportedly offering the presenters £10m to jump ship after ITV poached its mainstay chatshow host Michael Parkinson.
This is the third golden handcuffs deal Ant and Dec have signed with ITV since joining in 1998, when they presented Saturday morning show 'SM:TV' alongside Cat Deeley.
Since then, the pair have presented three series of 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', two series of 'Pop Idol', and have developed and launched their own format, 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway'.
ITV said that the pair have individual appeal reaching out to everyone from children to grandparents.
Nigel Pickard, ITV’s director of programmes, said: "They have a unique appeal to our audience and are loved by everyone from kids to grannies. They are immensely talented presenters who really do get better with every series. And as everyone who meets or works with them knows, they’re also incredibly nice guys."
Claudia Rosencrantz, ITV’s controller of entertainment, added: "The last four years have allowed us to build some great shows with Ant and Dec. They have become synonymous with the channel and I'm really pleased they still feel so at home with us. We have a terrific working relationship and we're all very excited about the next three years."
