ITV signs sponsors for key 2008 shows

ITV has wrapped up sponsorship deals for two key 2008 shows.

Cholesterol-reducing food brand Benecol has signed a six-figure deal to become sponsor for The Alan Titchmarsh Show. This will be the brand's first foray into TV sponsorship and the deal will also include online sponsorship plus mobile interactive bumpers.

ITV has also secured UK online centres as the sponsor of its new medical drama, The Royal Today, a spin-off from flagship show, The Royal. The drama, yet to be allocated a broadcast slot, forms part of ITV's new 2008 schedule.

The package also includes online sponsorship and mobile interactive bumpers.

UK online centres offer free or low-cost access to the internet and e-mail, deliver online courses and encourage further learning. The centres are managed by UFI, the organisation behind Learndirect.
