The mobile publishing business, part of the Mobile Interactive Group, won the 12-month contract following a competitive pitch against undisclosed agencies.

Using Kilrush's technology, ITV will update its mobile internet site so viewers can access up-to-date information on popular ITV shows, such as Britain's Got Talent and Coronation Street via their mobile.

It currently hosts various mobile sites for ITV programmes including Emmerdale, drama series Primeval and day-time TV show Loose Women.

ITV appointed MIG in 2005 to handle its mobile strategy and provision of mobile interactive services for much-loved shows such as This Morning, I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! and The X Factor.
