ITV Play has been cleared following the first stage of a review carrier out by consultants Deloitte, which looked at the interactive processes and procedures contained ITV Play programming.
A statement from ITV, said: "On the basis of the information available, including Deloitte's findings, ITV is satisfied that the both are being operated in accordance with the Icstis and Ofcom codes. As part of our complete commitment to ongoing compliance, ITV will continue to observe the operation of interactive services with Deloitte's assistance."
Deloitte, ITV's auditor, has also cleared ITV1's flagship magazine programme 'This Morning' of any wrong doing in reference to premium rate phoneline quizzes.
William Van Rest, controller of ITV Play, said: "ITV Play has always put a huge premium on responsibility and ensuring our systems are as transparent and accountable as possible. I'm delighted that we are able to return these services and viewers can continue to enjoy these shows and interactive quizzes."
Shu Richmond, executive producer on 'This Morning' said:" Our prize competitions are a small but much loved part of our show and I'm delighted we are able to return these features to our viewers."
The move comes after ITV1's Saturday night ratings winner 'Dancing On Ice' went ahead with premium line phone votes on Saturday after ITV's investigation into the show's premium line voting service gave it the all clear.
Last Tuesday, ITV temporarily suspended all its premium interactive services and withdrew its gaming channel ITV Play in response to the controversy surrounding premium-rate phone numbers.
The broadcaster, under direction from Michael Grade, ITV's newly installed executive chairman, had appointed Deloitte to conduct a review of all premium-rate interactive services in ITV programmes, including primetime shows 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', 'X Factor' and 'Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway'.
