ITV hires van den Belt as broadband MD

ITV has appointed former Telegraph Media Group new-media director Annelies van den Belt as managing director of broadband.

Van den Belt will report to Jeff Henry, director of ITV Consumer, and will be responsible for all aspects of commercial and operational delivery for the broadband site, including advertising and transactional revenues, content production and commissioning.

The new broadband site is set for launch at the end of March and will feature simulcasts of ITV's broadcast channel output, catch-ups, previews and downloads of key programmes and exclusive online content.
The broadcaster's new broadband boss left the Telegraph in November, 15 months after she joined from Times Online where she had a similar role. The departure followed the hiring of former Emap Radio managing director Shaun Gregory to oversee broadcasting, mobile and online at the Telegraph.
ITV has also made two other appointments for its broadband offering. It has hired Tanya Lidstone as head of customer experience, joining from travel site Opodo.
Steve White has joined ITV as head of technology from Gamesys, where he was development manager for the web gaming specialist. Prior to this he worked at Carlton Interactive as head of development.
