ITN marketing chief to head 24-hour news channel

ITN’s director of marketing David Robinson has been appointed managing director of the news provider’s 24-hour cable and satellite ITN News channel.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - ITN’s director of marketing David Robinson has been appointed managing director of the news provider’s 24-hour cable and satellite ITN News channel.

Robinson takes over from Michael Jermey, who will concentrate on developing new ventures and business opportunities for the news service.

The news comes just days after satellite broadcaster BSkyB announced that it had formed a consortium to bid against ITN for its £45m-a-year contract to supply commercial broadcaster ITV with news.
