ITC investigates complaints against Bueno bar ad

The Independent Television Commission (ITC) is investigating 30 complaints claiming that an ad for the Kinder Bueno chocolate bar is offensive. The ad entitled 'Love me' and created by WCRS features a man in a newsagents confronted by a chocolate bar which pleads in a female voice with him to "lick my ripples", "bite me, bite me" and says "I'll be anything you want me to be". The complainants objected to the sexual overtones of the ad and the fact that the talking chocolate bar used a "babyish" voice. The ITC has already rejected complaints about the ad's offensiveness in September, but has said it will look at the new complaints again to see if they raise additional issues.
