What is it? A private members' club just around the corner from Fleet Street, in what was, until recently, a barristers' chamber and before that the home of the National Union of Journalists.
What's it got? The Irish Club will officially open in March and will boast a variety of event spaces in addition to its members' restaurant, bar, lounge and private work rooms. The Connacht Room is the largest and has a capacity of 200 for cocktail receptions, or 100 for a seated event. The Munster Room seats a capacity of 40 for dinner, while the Ulster Room can take a maximum 100 guests for cocktails. Two other smaller rooms are available for up to 15 people boardroom style.
