BBC Magazines’ Top Gear was awarded International Consumer Magazine of the Year and The National Magazine Company’s Coast won the PPA’s Specialist Consumer Magazine of the Year.
Mike Soutar, the chief executive of ShortList, was awarded Publisher of the Year by the PPA. Soutar, who won the title in both the Consumer Magazine and Turnover of Under £5 Million categories, was described as "hugely creative and innovative" by the PPA judges.
The PPA’s Editor of the Year was Alexander Milas, the editor of Future Publishing’s Metal Hammer, a decision which the judges said was unanimous.
Sainsbury’s Magazine, the 15-year-old Seven Squared title which had a revamp last year, won Customer Magazine of the Year at the awards.
UBM’s Property Week won Weekly Business Magazine of the Year, Reed Business Information’s fwi.co.uk bagged Business Website of the Year and Creative Head from Alfol scooped Monthly Business Magazine of the Year at the awards. The Business Media Brand of the Year award went to Reed’s XpertHR.
Louise Rogers at Times Higher Education (THE) won Publisher of the Year for Business Media.
