IPC unveils creative advertising team

IPC Advertising is launching a creative department called IPC Creative to supply advertisers with creative work and solutions across its women's magazines.

The publisher has merged the creative ad departments at its Southbank, tx and Connect divisions, which publish titles including Marie Claire, InStyle and Now, to create IPC Creative.

The new unit will provide a central point of contact for advertisers wanting to run bespoke ads in IPC titles. The combined team will increase in size with the appointment of additional designers and copywriters.

Ben Young has been promoted to head IPC Creative as its creative director.

He will report to Neil Perkin, the director of marketing and strategy at IPC Advertising.

The creation of IPC Advertising is the latest change since the appointment of Caroline McDevitt as the director of group advertising in April.

McDevitt said: "Clients and agencies are demanding greater innovation and added value from our medium. We are addressing that challenge with a single creative team."
