The magazine, its bi-annual sister title Wallpaper Navigator and the Wallpaper website will now come under the auspices of Whetton, one of IPC’s five divisional bosses, although the products will retain their status as a seperate part of the group.
Other magazines under Whetton's control in the IPC SouthBank stable include Marie Claire, InStyle, Family Circle and Practical Parenting.
Richard Johnstone, publishing director of the Wallpaper Group, who will report directly to Whetton, said: “I'm looking forward to both working with Sandy and drawing on the publishing knowledge and expertise within SouthBank, as we continue to develop and expand the Wallpaper Group portfolio.
Whetton added: "It makes perfect sense to align Wallpaper with SouthBank and I'm looking forward to working with Richard and his excellent team to continue the fantastic work they have been doing to evolve the brand."
The re-shuffle has taken place in the wake of IPC Advertising boss Georgina Crace's move to Trinity Mirror, as the group's new managing director for regional newspapers. Crace also had board level responsibility for Wallpaper.
Wallpaper had sales of 107,800 copies per issue, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations' figures.
