IPC Media splits up ignite! department

IPC Media has restructured its ignite! division, splitting it into music and men's titles. Each new department will be run independently, under its own publishing director.

Eric Fuller, previously the group publishing director for Nuts and NME, will oversee ignite!'s men's titles, including Nuts and Loaded.

Paul Cheal will be the publishing director of the new music division, which includes NME and Uncut. Cheal will join ignite! from IPC Country & Leisure Media, where he is the publishing director of its marine magazine portfolio.

Tim Brooks, ignite!'s managing director, explained: "The two sectors we serve, music and lifestyle, have different drivers, and it makes sense to align our publishing and sales teams accordingly."

IPC ignite!'s group ad di-rector, Sam Finlay, has also made several changes.

He has promoted the Nuts and NME ad manager, Andy Goldsmith, to display ad director, while Olly Scull, the Loaded and Uncut ad manager, becomes the ad manager for Nuts and Loaded.

In addition, Clair Porteous, the group marketing manager, , becomes the head of marketing for the men's lifestyle portfolio. Andrew Sumner, the publishing director of Uncut, becomes the acting publishing director of Now.
