IPC has promoted Mark Reen, ad director of TV weeklies division IPC
TX, to group director across its weekly magazine portfolio, including
women's group IPC Connect.
Reen has been caretaking the Connect group for the past nine months,
providing maternity cover for Connect ad director Janey Pilkington.
In terms of circulation and profitability, the expansion of Reen's remit
sees him take charge of IPC's largest magazine group, which includes TV
Times, What's On TV, Now, Chat, Woman and Woman's Own. He reports to IPC
Advertising managing director Georgina Crace.
Pilkington is moving into a new business development role in central
sales, reporting to corporate sales director Simon Hills.
In a reorganisation last month, central sales was divided into two
groups: corporate accounts and business development.
Following the closure of IPC Electric, digital sales director Neil
Perkin took up a role of corporate accounts director. Hills assumed the
position of head of business development.
However, it is thought that Pilkington will now move into that role,
with Hills overseeing the whole central sales function.
