
He will oversee advertising for IPC Ignite, which publishes Nuts, Loaded, Uncut, NME and games portal mousebreaker.com.
He replaces Sam Finlay, who became head of IPC Media Digital Sales in August.
Goldsmith will be responsible for the strategic development of Ignite's commercial team, heading trading, plus its sponsorship and brand solutions unit.
His appointment comes at a crucial time for IPC Ignite, which is battling falling circulations of its print titles and looking to make money from its digital operations.
