InStyle gets new look and new A5 size

IPC is launching a travel-size version of women's glossy fashion magazine InStyle next month.

The magazine joins Red, Elle and IPC sister title Marie Claire in adopting the dual format to compete with A5-sized market-leading women's glossy Glamour in stores targeting commuters and travellers.

InStyle will appear in the smaller format, alongside the standard edition, in WHSmith Travel outlets in railway stations and airports across the UK from 7 March. The format will be promoted in stores at launch.

The move coincides with a redesign of the title under editor Trish Halpin, who joined the magazine from Hachette Filipacchi's Red in September last year.

The new-look InStyle includes dedicated beauty, life and home sections in the magazine, as well as more fashion stories and style features.

IPC also plans to launch the first website for InStyle's UK edition in April.
