Number of people in your team: Fourteen.
Who does what? Trevor White is executive producer, Jon Norman is marketing manager and Nick Young is client development sales executive. Liz Barnes and Matt Gubbins are our producers. Mark Jeeves, Rob Birnie, Nicky Horne are all presenters, along with keyboard-playing rock legend Rick Wakeman and Tony Iommi, Black Sabbath's guitarist and fellow rock legend. Nick Abbott, Colin Slade and Murray J complete the presenting team.
Who is the biggest character and why? Rick and Tony would probably have to be joint leaders when it comes to the biggest characters, with their rock 'n' roll history. Being in two of the biggest rock bands in the world, Yes and Black Sabbath respectively, you can only imagine what they have both got up to. It certainly wouldn't be suitable to print.
What is your office atmosphere like? Loud - we're a rock station so we don't do things quietly. Seriously, we have music on all the time. The team all work well together. We have a lot fun because we work in an environment that we love, listening to the music we love. Classic rock music is an important part of all our lives.
What stands your apart from the rest of the industry? We are a classic rock radio station; we play classic rock 24/7, which makes us very different to all the other national radio stations in the UK. We also only broadcast digitally, so we can be found on DAB digital radio, digital TV and on the web. We have seen massive growth over the last year, with an increase of 61%, to have a weekly reach of more than 460,000. We have also been recognised by our peers, as we won the coveted Gold Award at the Sony Radio Academy Awards for "Digital Station of the Year 2006" - beating off competition from the BBC!
What does it take to get the job in your team? You have to have a passion for classic rock music, not just a liking for it - it has to be in your blood. We are a small team, so you have to be someone who can handle pressure, create compelling radio and have the drive and passion to succeed, to make Planet Rock the station it deserves to be.
How are staff encouraged to hit target? Bonuses? Let me check my contract - ah no. Big pay rises - I think not. A glass of warm Blue Nun - now that's more like it!
Where do you let your hair down? What hair we do have left gets let down far too much. Rock 'n' roll has always been known for excess and the team know how to lead that rock 'n' roll lifestyle - just without the fast cars, easy women and, of course, the money.
