The ethical smoothie maker said the campaign is its biggest yet for the range, which is getting a packaging overhaul and a new flavour.

The campaign will kick-off in October with a 30-second TV ad by Fallon.

Press ads in free title Metro, online activity and in-store marketing in Tesco and Sainsbury's will also feature.

Innocent said the campaign will use its distinctive tone of voice with a focus on clearly showing the product as a healthy food.

The sampling campaign will involve the distribution of 40,000 free Veg Pots across the country.

Innocent launched its Veg Pots in 2008 as it looked to diversify from its core smoothie range. The range currently has eight recipes and is sold in Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, priced at £3.49.

Alex Wood, Innocent Veg Pots brand manager, said: "Currently only one in five people have heard of Veg Pots so we have a job to do to increase awareness and ensure consumers understand our product."
