The Coca-Cola owned smoothie brand has appointed Clarke, who joins from Bacardi and formerly Reckitt Benckiser, to the role of group marketing director as it looks to drive forward its "ambitious" European growth plans.

The brand has also hired Nick Canney as UK & Ireland managing director. Canney joins from Coca-Cola Enterprises where he was VP sales and marketing, he was also formerly GB sales director at Cadbury.

Andreas Welsch also joins as regional head for northern Europe from Iglo.

"I’m delighted to be welcoming our three new leaders," said Douglas Lamont, Innocent CEO.

"Their individual experiences and expertise will be invaluable as we embark on ambitious brand and innovation plans in 2015.

"Together we will look to continue our significant European growth and build on our 2014 group sales increase of over 9% as we continue towards our goal to become Europe’s favourite little juice company."

Innocent confirmed nobody had left the business as a result of the appointments.
