INM ad revenues set to grow by 3.5%

Independent News & Media expects growth of 3.5% in advertising revenue for the first half of 2006.

In a trading statement issued today, the group, which owns newspapers including The Independent and the Belfast Telegraph, said it expected year-on-year revenue to be ahead by 3% for the six months to 30 June.
Circulation revenues are forecast to grow by the same amount, while online advertising growth will show good double-digit growth, especially in classifieds.
Sir Anthony O'Reilly, chief executive, said: 鈥淥ur multi-media, multi-lingual and multi-market strategy for growth, combined with our low cost ethos, gives us confidence in our ability to deliver another year of superior earnings growth.
鈥淓arly results for 2006 are fully in line with expectations and we look forward to another successful year of double-digit earnings growth.鈥
INM鈥檚 interim results are due to be released on 19 September.
