Initiative hires Eric Bader as worldwide chief strategy officer

LONDON - Initiative has hired former MediaVest digital chief Eric Bader for the newly created role of worldwide chief strategy officer.

Bader joins Initiative from mobile marketing agency BrandInHand, where he was president and managing director.

He will report to Richard Bevan, Initiative's worldwide chief executive, and will be based in New York.

Bader will drive strategy, planning and insight across the network, and support the network’s business development.

He will work with Sarah Ivey, the network’s worldwide communication planning director, Bant Breen, worldwide president of digital communications, and Jeffrey Graham, worldwide director of performance, to drive strategic planning, digital and performance.

Bader was the managing director of digital at MediaVest in the US, before joining BrandinHand in 2008. He also spent seven years at Ogilvy, where he was senior partner and executive director of interactive marketing and strategy.

Beaven said: "Having someone of Eric's reputation and experience as an entrepreneur, strategist, digital visionary and outstanding client lead, will be of enormous benefit to Initiative as we move forward with our performance-led approach to communications.

"Eric will help our teams around the world take our work to the next level, so we continue to deliver breakthrough results for clients."
