Under the agreement, the Independent titles will have their own office space but share some back office services with Associated Newspapers.
The two groups' commercial, editorial and management operations will remain separate.
The move will take place in January and comes as INM implements planned cost savings of £10m across its two national newspapers. INM said the office share will deliver additional cost savings on top of the previously-announced £10m of savings.
Earlier this month, INM said it will cut more than 10% of its commercial staff, the bulk of them from classified, as part of its cost-cutting. The cuts form part of an overall reduction of 90 jobs across the two titles.
Ivan Fallon, chief executive of Independent News and Media (UK) said: "This move will transform the prospects of the Independent titles. We will have immediate cost savings when we move offices and take maximum advantage of the resources and services offered to us by our partners at Associated to create better and more commercially viable newspapers while staying true to the editorial values we cherish."
Ian Hanson, operations director of Associated Newspapers, said: "We look forward to welcoming Independent News and Media (UK) to our offices in Kensington. The cost savings from a sharing of infrastructures will be beneficial to both organisations."
