Incepta buys Dutch financial PR firm

Marketing and communications group Incepta is to buy Dutch-based financial PR and IR specialists First Financial Communications.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Marketing and communications group Incepta is to buy Dutch-based financial PR and IR specialists First Financial Communications.

First Financial, to be renamed Citigate First Financial, provides services to companies listed on Euronext, the stock exchange created out of the merger between the Amsterdam, Paris and Brussels lists.

The agency, which has previously worked with Incepta鈥檚 Citigate Dewe Rogerson, will be responsible for Incepta鈥檚 growth in the Netherlands.

News of the acquisition comes just one month after Incepta announced it was paying £25m to buy the Red Consultancy PR agency and Broad Street Productions of New York.

Shares in Incepta remained unchanged this morning from yesterday鈥檚 closing price of 86p. The stock has moved just 1p since the company announced a management reshuffle two weeks ago in a bid to strengthen the board.

The group has been underperforming the media sector by 18% over the last 12 months.
