Evans, who takes up the post tomorrow (Friday), is returning to the UK from Belgium, where he has been seconded as vice-president of commercial strategy in charge of InBev's global sales and marketing approach. He replaces Colin Pedrick, who is stepping down after 28 years with the company.
Evans began his marketing career at Procter & Gamble, where he worked on brands including Fairy Liquid and Pampers, before being appointed marketing manager at the Welsh Development Agency in 1992.
He joined Interbrew two years later as marketing manager for Heineken and was promoted to the UK board in 2001 as marketing director, Interbrew UK.
