IDS secures Living sponsorship deal

Ad sales house IDS has signed up Universal Pictures UK as weekend prime-time sponsor for Virgin Media TV-owned channel Living.

Universal Pictures will promote the UK DVD launch of Elizabeth: The Golden Age as the exclusive broadcast sponsor of the channel between 8pm and midnight during the weekend of 22 and 24 February. The film will be released on DVD on 25 February.

The deal will lead to promotional activity on livingtv.co.uk with an online competition offering viewers the chance to win the DVD.

The sponsorship was negotiated between IDS commercial development manager Amanda Ransted and MediaCom's Tamlyn Rolfe.

The deal follows a recent arrangement between IDS and Universal Pictures for the promotion of The Bourne Ultimatum and The Kingdom on Bravo.
