Icon Medialab reports record sales

Swedish interactive consultancy Icon Medialab International has reported record financial results for the second quarter, with net sales up 376%.

LONDON (Brand Republic) - Swedish interactive consultancy Icon Medialab International has reported record financial results for the second quarter, with net sales up 376%.

The company reported net sales of SEK431.9m (£31.36m), an increase of 55% over the previous quarter.

The quarter was also the first time the company reported operating profitability, with operating earnings of SEK2.8m (£203,300), compared to an operating loss of SEK13.6m (£987,500) in the same quarter last year.

However, after goodwill and provision for social security fees related to employee stock options, net earnings were minus SEK142.6m (£10.3m).

Icon Medialab was founded in Stockholm in 1996 and is part-owned by the Interpublic Group of Companies. The firm has more than 1,700 employees in 16 countries including the UK. Its clients include Coca-Cola, Fujitsu, L’Oreal, Nestle, Opel, Siemens, Sony and Tetra Pak.
