The Interactive Advertising Bureau has appointed its first research manager as part of its drive to double online advertising spend by autumn next year.
Laurence Bour joins the IAB from Fox Kids Europe, where she was senior executive of pan-European research and headed the implementation of both qualitative and quantitative research in 56 countries.
She will work alongside IAB chief executive Danny Meadows-Klue and manage the IAB's three-year research programme, as well as manage its weekly seminars.
Her appointment to the role follows news last month that Richard Eyre, former Pearson and ITV chief executive, would be joining the group as chairman.
The IAB announced in November that it was launching a drive to double online advertising spend by mid-2004.
