Just over 65,000 UK consumers have pre-ordered a next-generation phone via 3's web site and through its retail stores in London's Oxford Street and Kensington. 3 aims to gain two million customers by the end of the year for handsets costing from £400 to £500.
Creative agency TBWA/ London has devised ads to illustrate the benefits of 3G technology, including video Premiership football highlights. Its other launch services are two-way video calling and video messaging.
