Brand experience agency Flourish has been appointed to activate a pan-European competition to bring to life the social networking features of the HTC Wildfire smartphone.

From now until the end of November HTC will ask visitors to its Facebook page what they would do if they could gather all of their virtual friends together in one place.

Each week one lucky winner from a different European city will be selected to have their wishes realised.

This weekend (17 October) Laura Hadland and 40 of her Facebook friends came together to create the world’s largest toast mosaic birthday card in honour of her mother-in-law Sandra in Warrington, Cheshire. 
 
The 128.05sqm mosaic used 9,852 slices of toast to achieve the Guinness World Record.
 
Next weekend the HTC Wildfire Experience will move on to Paris to witness a life-size version of the classic arcade game Pong. 
 
"At HTC we believe the best things in life are experienced, not explained. Creating unique experiences for the HTC community was a natural way to bring that philosophy to life – and we managed to set a world record too," said HTC EMEA president Florian Seiche.

"We’re pleased that Laura and her friends had such a great time – bringing friends together is what the HTC Wildfire is all about."
