Former rugby union internationals Gareth Edwards, Gavin Hastings and Jason Robinson as well as Brian O'Driscoll, current Ireland international and captain of the 2005 Lions, will work as HSBC ambassadors.

HSBC became the principle partner of the tour last year (Marketing 7 November) having secured a deal worth an estimated £4m. The bank replaces Zurich Insurance, which had been the shirt sponsor for the 2005 Lions Tour to New Zealand.

The ambassadors will make personal appearances for the global bank and will also be featured on the HSBC section of the official Lions website, lionsrugby.com.
