A spokesperson for HSBC told Event that other activities included a replica putting green, and six golf simulators where visitors can test their accuracy and power.
"There are also experts on hand to give tips and advance to improve their swing, for example," he said.
The main driver behind the campaign is getting young people into the sport, said the spokesperson, which is what is behind the #AnyonesGame hashtag. As part of the HSBC’s sponsorship of The Open is it also funding HSBC Hour at 300 golf clubs around the UK, where people can go and play a free hour of golf.
Giles Morgan, global head of sponsorship & events at HSBC, said: "Our Anyone’s Game campaign is all about opening up the world of golf – everyone’s invited, irrespective of background, age or ability so what better way to bring this to life than to team up with The Golf Foundation and ClubGolf Scotland to open up the doors of golf clubs during the week of The Open."
Windsor-based Red Door Events worked with HSBC on the activation.
