LONDON - Hovis has won ITV's ad of the decade, beating off competition from Skoda's Cake and Cadbury's drumming Gorilla.

The ITV programme, which aired last night, ran as a countdown of the 20 best ads over the past decade. The winning ad, Hovis ‘Go On Lad' first aired in 2008 and was created by MCBD. It marked the brands 122 years of history in 122 seconds.

The top 20 ads were compiled by a poll from the ITV Viewers Panel, consisting of 8,000 people. The order was then determined by ITV viewers.
