Kate Winslet provides the voiceover in a new online film for Rolls-Royce that explains the history of the brand's flying woman mascot that famously stands on the bonnet of each car.

The work has been created for The House of Rolls-Royce, a new project created to bring the tales and myths about the brand to life on screen.

"The spirit of ecstasy" is the first film to be rolled out. It uses a mixture of motion capture, 3D scanning, live action and animation to explain why the figure was chosen to be the Rolls-Royce mascot.
