House of Minalima to host Fantastic Beasts fan event

Minalima, the design studio that worked on the Harry Potter movie franchise, is hosting a fan event tying in with the release of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

The event is being hosted at House of Minalima in Soho, a pop-up which opened earlier this year showcasing artwork from the Harry Potter movies.  Entry, which is free, will be granted at one minute past midnight on 18 November, the same day the movie is officially released in the UK. The event celebrates the launch of Minalima's Fantastic Beasts exhibition.

Graphic prints on display include the Magical Congress of the United States of America shield and 'Chadwick's Charms', a textbook penned by one of the co-founders of Ilvermorny, the American version of Hogwarts. Everything will be housed within an immersive setting, which sees the gallery space transformed into a '20s New York-style setting, the time at which the movie is set.

The gallery will stay open for 24 hours straight on the first day with MinaLima designers Mira Mina and Eduardo Lima in attendance signing their new book 'A Case of Beasts – Explore the Film Wizardry of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.' The screenplay for the movie was penned by JK Rowling, author of the Harry Potter series of books.
