Kevin Hand has been appointed as the chairman of the PPA. Hand, the former Emap and Hachette UK chief executive, is currently a special advisor to Hearst Magazines UK. Stevie Spring was due to replace the current PPA chairman Charles Reed, the group managing director of William Reed Business Media, but resigned from the PPA board last week after leaving Future Publishing.
